National College of Automotive Technology Celebrates the Graduation of RAFO First Batch

March 14, 2018, Muscat - The National College of Automotive Technology (NCAT) celebrated on March 14, 2018, the graduation of 39 technicians from the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) who have completed a vocational training programme in the field of light vehicle maintenance and repair. The training duration ranged from one and a half month to five months as planned in the academic calendars. The programme was opened with orientation sessions on health, safety and environment standards, followed by theoretical learning in classrooms, laboratories and workshops as well as on-the Job Training at Al Zubair Motors Group. The graduation ceremony was patronaged by Mr. Hani Al Zubair, Chairman of Al Zubair Motors Group, in the presence of senior officials of the Royal Air Force of Oman and NCAT academic and non-academic staff. Mr. Haji Al Balushi, Dean of the College, delivered the keynote speech where he emphasized on the vibrant role played by the college in the production of national cadres specialized for the automotive sector. Haji, further commented, that this achievement is the outcome of NCAT vision to be the pioneering vocational and training provider in the automotive sector to reach the noble goals in ensuring and achieving the demanded quality of education and training and equipping trainees with advanced career knowledge and skills. Eng. Lieutenant Colonel Air Force – Sultan Al Alawi from the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) thanked the college and the alumni for the competency levels they received and the commitment and discipline they showed throughout the training period. The programme also included the honoring of distinguished trainees and issuing the certificates to graduates.
