Short courses are delivered in a way that helps learners acquire new skills or enhance existing ones by integrating the theory with the practical. Hence, contents of courses cover examples of how to apply the relevant skills in a practical environment. Under the recognition of prior learning policy, the college provides a route for these candidates to obtain credited units and qualifications once the learning outcomes of that unit or qualification are achieved. Therefore, Short Courses target members working at the automotive sector or job seekers aspiring to be engaged at the same sector. Usually, study duration varies between 1 and 3 months. The aim of this type of courses is to meet industries' requirements in a convenient manner. It also provides an opportunity for people who are willing to start up their own businesses in a specific area of the automotive filed. There are a number of written exam and final practical to assess and evaluate learners' competency level.
Level 2 | Should successfully completed Grade 10 in General Education or equivalent. |
Level 3 | Should successfully completed level 2 in the same field. |
Level 4 | 1. BTEC Level 3 qualification in related field or any other related level 3 qualification or General Education Diploma or equivalent. 2. 5.5 in the IELTS in in reading and writing sections (for Business) & 5.0 at minimum is being awarded on individual sections (for Engineering). If the course is delivering in Arabic, then the above requirement is excepted. |
Level 5 | Should successfully completed BTEC Level 4 qualification in related field or any other related level 4 qualification. |
